Parents, students, teachers, and other education professionals can share general feedback about a school assessment or testing process with Tests.School.
Your experience may help us:
- identify information that needs clarification;
- find school procedures that may have changed;
- improve explanations for other families;
- understand common questions about score reports;
- review preparation resources more carefully;
- correct inaccurate or outdated content.

Protect the child’s privacy:
Do not submit a child’s full name, date of birth, home address, school login, student number, medical records, psychological reports, or other information that could identify them. A first name is not necessary.
Optional TestPrep-Online preparation:
When your school permits practice, families can review TestPrep-Online MAP practice, TestPrep-Online gifted test resources and TestPrep-Online Family Membership. Confirm the assessment, grade or level, current pack contents, access terms, and school policy before purchasing.
Experiences You Can Share
Useful submissions may describe:
- which assessment was administered;
- the country, province, state, or school board involved;
- the student’s general grade or age range;
- how the school explained the assessment;
- whether the test was completed at school or remotely;
- the approximate testing schedule;
- which score terms appeared in the report;
- which parts of the report were difficult to understand;
- questions you asked the teacher;
- how the school used the results;
- whether a preparation policy was communicated;
- your experience with a publicly available preparation resource;
- information on one of our pages that may need correction.
You do not need to share the child’s exact score.
Where a score is relevant, you can describe it in general terms, such as:
- below the school’s benchmark;
- within the expected range;
- above the national median;
- uneven across different domains;
- higher or lower than the previous result.
Information to Include
A clear submission may include the following information:
Assessment name
Provide the complete name where possible.
For example:
- NWEA MAP Growth Reading;
- Renaissance Star Math;
- i-Ready Inform Mathematics;
- CAT4 Level C;
- Canadian Cognitive Abilities Test 7.
This helps us distinguish between products with similar names.
Location or school system
You may provide the country and a general school-system description.
For policies that differ locally, the school board, district, local authority, or province can also be useful.
Do not provide a classroom number, teacher’s private contact information, or another child’s identifying details.
Grade or age range
A general grade or age range helps us understand which assessment version may have been used.
Examples include:
- Grade 3;
- Year 7;
- ages 9–10;
- primary school;
- secondary school.
Testing period
You may state the month, term, or school year.
For example:
- fall 2025;
- spring 2026;
- the beginning of Grade 4;
- the middle of the academic year.
Assessment products and school procedures change, so the approximate date helps us judge whether the information remains current.
What happened
Describe the process in your own words.
Useful details may include:
- how families were notified;
- whether consent was requested;
- how many sessions were used;
- whether breaks were provided;
- whether the school allowed familiarisation;
- when the results became available;
- which report the family received;
- what happened after the assessment.
What would have helped
Tell us what information you needed but could not find.
For example:
- an explanation of a percentile;
- the difference between achievement and growth;
- clarification of a placement label;
- questions to ask the school;
- information about permitted preparation;
- an explanation of the next screening stage.
Reporting a Possible Error
You can also use this page to report an error on Tests.School.
Please include:
- the address of the page;
- the heading or section concerned;
- the statement you believe is inaccurate;
- the correct information;
- a reliable supporting source, where available;
- the date on which you accessed that source.
Official assessment-provider documentation and current school-board or school-district guidance are particularly helpful.
We review correction requests, but submission does not guarantee that a requested change will be made.
Reviewing a Preparation Resource
When the school permits practice, families can review TestPrep-Online MAP practice or compare options with TestPrep-Online gifted test resources. Confirm the grade or level, current pack contents, access terms, and school policy before purchasing.
You may share a balanced experience with a free or paid preparation resource.
Helpful information includes:
- the assessment and grade covered;
- whether the content matched the advertised product;
- the types of exercises included;
- whether explanations were useful;
- whether the difficulty appeared appropriate;
- whether the online platform worked reliably;
- whether the stated access period was accurate;
- how customer support responded;
- whether renewal or cancellation terms were clear.
Do not send:
- copied questions;
- screenshots of paid content;
- downloadable files from the provider;
- login credentials;
- material protected by copyright.
A preparation resource cannot guarantee an official score, programme placement, gifted identification, or other educational outcome.
Sharing Score Information Safely
You may describe score-report terminology without uploading the complete report.
A report can contain sensitive information such as:
- the child’s full name;
- student identification numbers;
- school information;
- date of birth;
- teacher details;
- disability or accommodation information;
- assessment history;
- barcodes or account references.
Before sharing an excerpt, remove all identifying and account information.
Whenever possible, type the relevant score label or wording into your message rather than attaching the original report.
Safer example:
“My Grade 5 child’s report showed a Scale Score, Percentile Rank, and a lower placement in Number and Operations. I did not understand how the domain placement related to the overall score.”
Submissions From Students
Students should ask a parent or guardian before submitting information, particularly when they are below the age of legal adulthood in their country.
Students should not share:
- their full name;
- their school;
- personal contact information;
- account credentials;
- private conversations with teachers;
- another student’s information;
- secure questions they remember from an assessment.
A student can still provide useful general feedback, such as:
- which instructions were confusing;
- whether the interface was difficult to use;
- whether the assessment caused avoidable anxiety;
- which score explanation would have been helpful.
How Submissions May Be Used
Information submitted to Tests.School may be reviewed for editorial purposes.
It may help us:
- update an existing guide;
- investigate a possible correction;
- add a general parent question;
- improve a score explanation;
- identify a changing school procedure;
- write an anonymised summary of a common experience.
Submission does not guarantee publication or a personal response.
We may edit, shorten, paraphrase, or decline material for reasons including:
- privacy;
- accuracy;
- relevance;
- copyright;
- test security;
- readability;
- inability to verify a claim;
- inappropriate or harmful content.
We will not intentionally publish a child’s sensitive identifying information.
However, the safest approach is not to submit such information in the first place.
Permission to Share
Submit only information that:
- you wrote yourself;
- you are authorised to share;
- does not violate another person’s privacy;
- does not disclose secure test content;
- does not infringe copyright;
- does not breach a school, employer, or provider agreement.
By submitting material for possible publication, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and allow Tests.School to review, edit, summarise, and publish it in connection with its educational content.
Do not submit material when you do not agree to that possible editorial use.
What We Cannot Provide
Tests.School cannot use a submission to provide:
- a medical or psychological diagnosis;
- an official interpretation of an individual child’s report;
- legal advice;
- individualised special-education advice;
- access to secure assessment questions;
- a guaranteed gifted-programme decision;
- intervention or placement instructions for a particular student;
- communication on behalf of a family with a school.
Questions about a particular child’s result should be discussed with the teacher, school administrator, qualified educational professional, or appropriate licensed specialist.
Before You Submit
Please confirm that your message:
- does not identify a child;
- does not contain login credentials;
- does not reproduce secure questions;
- does not include copyrighted assessment pages;
- explains which assessment is involved;
- includes an approximate testing date where relevant;
- distinguishes personal experience from confirmed policy;
- includes a reliable source when reporting a factual correction.
